David Lynn, Interim Executive Director for the Sheep River Health Trust proudly accepts a cheque from Shoppers Drug Mart (Okotoks) Owner and Pharmacist, Bob Brown, in the amount of $2840.00. The funds were raised through the Shoppers Drug Mart Tree of Life Fundraising Campaign in the fall of 2009 in support of Women’s Health Initiatives in our community.
The 2009 Tree of Life BBQ was a lot of fun. We had face painting, live entertainment, community supporters, Ty and Lou from Heartland, the TV series and a native drum circle. There was something for everyone and it showed, as we raised 50% more funds in 2009. The 2010 Tree of Life Fundraising BBQ promises to be an even bigger event for the entire family. Through your participation, we are making a difference!
The Sheep River Health Trust will continue to work with health care professionals and organizations who support health care to enhance the care of the clients in our service areas including: Black Diamond, DeWinton, Longview, Millarville, Okotoks, Priddis, Turner Valley and the areas in between.
